Uhren Magazin’s Goldene Unruh 2009

 German shops shows are considered the best by many collectors, especially those who can read and understand the German language   One of them,has an annual competition for the best shows in a certain price category. The readers of the store may vote for a watch that is on the list of Goldene Unruh. If you’re unfamiliar with the Germans, you should know that they are quite proud of their homeland and the substance they rise with (cars, pens, watches, food, beer etc..).

You will not see a type German drive a French car for example (and vica versa in this case). For watches, they seem to make a few exceptions, but the golden rule is to vote for German. Most Goldene Unruh winners from previous years were those of Lange and Söhne,  Nomos,  can probably complete the list   however, this year on the 26th of February 2009, the winner of the Goldene Unruh (2009) is a tribute to Jaeger-LeCoulte Memovox to the Pole Star. In euro up to 25,000 category, this show won the most votes. More than 13,000 people participated in this contest by and most of them probably lies in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. I hope that there is a little Dutch, as many people here

 is a limited edtion (768 pieces of stainless steel) and a tribute to the original lodestar Memovox. This watch is equipped with the feature famous alarm Memovox (hanging gong), which can be operated with additional crowns. The internal size of 956 JLC has a power reserve of 45 hours and consists of 268 shares! The order of 1000 hours have been applied to this Memovox and JLC watch is water resistant to 200 meters.
