Why Perrelet was so admired by the Swiss? Let`s just take a look at the history of this ancient man and his watches.

During the mid-18th century, the Swiss watchmaking industry was totally not what it is now. There even existed no proper tools for some of the important parts of a watch. For realizing his ideal watches, Perrelet focused his efforts on the tools. And he was the first that made the spool, calendar, the average time and the crab claw wheel, and completed a watch all by himself.
