It is obvious that the global slowdown has had great impacts on the luxury watch markets. Many of them are worriedly hunting for emerging markets that have great purchasing power. Then, India jumps out and eagerly wants to be the prey, showing its plumpness by a rising demand for high-end watches.

As a rapid developing country just like China, the life standards of the Indian boost and they are caring more and more about luxury products, and in fact, they are pretty aware of international luxury and premium brands, such as Raymond Weil, Casio, Chico, Citizen, Fossil, etc.

Luxury Swiss watch brand Raymond Weil, the new hunter, is setting up an Indian subsidiary, Raymond Weil India Pvt. Ltd. It loves Indian consumers because of their innovative spirits and passion.

Also, the old hunter Seiko, who has a foresight ahead of other brands, is pushing its steps forward vehemently. Incorporated in June 2007, Seiko Watch India Pvt. Ltd also planning a break even in the coming two years. It regards India as one of its most promising markets, planning to promote premium clocks, including wall clocks, and focusing more on ladies watches. With so many hunters jumping into the forest, where can India go?
