Recently Baume & Mercier introduces its new series William Baume, which is inspired by a single-button chronograph introduced in 1938. And this series inherits from the modern design of William Baume series, two level timing disks set against the silver dial, and through the central pointer can the second hand be read. The Silver dial is decorated with a linear Microhyla “Vieux Panier”, and the time-scale of the outer plate and the minute-marks are polished.
Through the large transparent sapphire glass on back of the watch, you can see the operation of the mechanical movement. Another notable feature of the William Baume series is the elegant and extraordinary tourbillion at the position of 9 o’clock. And the small second hand at the 6 o’clock position makes the dial more dynamic.
The new William Baume series includes four models, the single-button chronograph watch, flying tourbillon watch, thin watch, as well as the reverse-jumping second hand watch. They just call on the close ties with brand`s long history by reproducing the complex traditional watch-making skills.
